David Wolf Books Are Now Available in Print

I just wanted to let everyone know the books are all available in print now on Amazon. I had a couple people ask about that in comments on the blog, so I thought I'd make an announcement here.

Otherwise, I'm hard at work on Wolf, I'm gonna get back to work.

Cold Lake - David Wolf #5 Coming November 19th

I’m happy to announce that I’m in the final editing stages of the 5th David Wolf book which is called Cold Lake, and it will be published on November 19th.

I’m beyond excited to get the next book out to you. It’s been a long time coming with the baby and summer job sucking up all my time for a few months there, but now I’m back at the keyboard with a vengeance and loving it. I hope you love the next book, and I hope you’re prepared. You may want to sit down while you read this one.

What’s next?

As my editor slashes my latest draft to shreds, I’m deep in outlining and research mode for the next book, which will be completely unrelated to Wolf and his world. It will star a college professor of European Antiquities from the University of Colorado with a secret past. I’m having a fun time inventing this character with his flaws, quirks, and intelligence, but I’m also excited to expand the scope of the plot with this one, raising the stakes to “the fate of the entire human race”, or at least a lot of innocent people, depending on our hero’s success.

The Upcoming New Year

My goals are set for the rest of this year and 2015 to continue at a pace I've never before achieved, but upping the quality of the books with each new release as well. I've added a proofreader who does an exceptional job, so we'll see how that combination of more volume and better quality goes, but I'm confident it can be done.

I'm also hoping to expand my readership this next year, and I'd like to collaborate with some other authors as well. But most of all, I'd like to write some great stories that readers will enjoy and feel compelled to talk about with their reader friends.

I'll keep you posted on the release of Cold Lake.

Thanks for checking out the blog, and please feel free to contact me via email or comments because I love to communicate with my readers.

Deadly Conditions (David Wolf #4) Now on Amazon!

deadly conditions cover

After a few months of finger pecking, and mental wrestling, and more finger pecking, the fourth book in the David Wolf series is finally live on Amazon.

Deadly Conditions, as it's called, takes place completely within Rocky Points, in the heart of winter and right after a particularly huge snowstorm. When the town is digging themselves out, a dead body is uncovered, leaving Wolf and his officers scrambling to find answers. Ultimately Wolf must gamble everything--life, limb, and his entire career--in order to reveal the truth and stop the killing.

I had a lot of fun writing this one, but I also found it...uncomfortable, is the only word I can come up with to describe it. I think I took a chance on the plot with this one, and we'll see what people think about it when it comes down to it. My editor swears it was my best yet, so that's a good start.

Last week I also released Gut Decision (A David Wolf Story), which is a short story about Wolf's first few weeks on the force. You can get it free by signing up for the new release newsletter (on the right), or get it on Amazon for 99 cents at the aforementioned link.

What's next?

I'm already deep into a fifth Wolf book, one that has him traveling to the deserts of Utah, and digging for answers among ancient fossils. And he'll be teaming up with a real...well, you'll see. I've already said too much.

Back to the present -- I hope you like Deadly Conditions, and I can't wait to hear what you think.
