  2. I enjoyed the first two of your David Wolf series and look forward to reading more. Just a note to mention that you spelled the Italian word for police station incorrectly... It should be "Questura" not Cuestura...

  7. I just read your five David Wolf books and enjoyed the evolution of Wolf's life as well as the mountain setting. I sure hope you are working on the sixth book in the series! The fifth book ended with some big unresolved questions, so please don't leave us hanging too long.

    1. Hi Julie,
It should have been sent to you in an email right after you signed up (automatically sent to your email). Then you have to either take the .MOBI file and load it onto your Kindle, or read the PDF file that also comes in the email. Shoot me an email at jeff@jeffcarson.co if you need help.

  9. Hi, Jeff,

I recently read your first David Wolf book on my Kindle and liked it. However, you are in desperate need of a copy editor! I mean "tunicate" for tourniquet???? And I can't tell you how many errors you made with it's vs. its, your vs. you're, et al. If your characters hadn't interested me, I would have deleted the book, as I have done with others.

I have copy-edited some ten books for friends who are authors (mostly memoirs), so I know whereof I speak.

Now that you're publishing No. 6 in the series, I certainly hope someone is copy-editing your books!

    Regards from a reader,

    1. Hi,
After reading your comment I kind of freaked out and did a search for "tunicate", "tourniquet", there, their, they're, its, it's ... and found no errors. I admit that when Foreign Deceit came out in its earlier form there were numerous errors. Numerous! But, like you suggest in your comment, I hired an editor and two different proofreaders to go through each book. That's not to say there aren't errors in the books. There most likely still are.

My point is, I think you have an earlier version of Foreign Deceit--perhaps downloaded in the past during one of my promotions--and I'm sorry you had to read that poorly edited version.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you give the next books a chance.

      Jeff

  11. Hi Jeff,I have enjoyed reading your Wold books very much,I did come across a few grammar and spelling errors, but nothing to terrible to ruffle feathers! However when starting the series Jack was 12, then you skipped ahead months and then a few years and he's only 13 in cold lake now,Wolf was almost 38 if I remember correctly, now he is nearly 41,so unless I miss read, which is quite possible as I read fast and often late at night when I finally get my toddler to bed, that is a rather big gap for me to reconcile with when trying to picture characters in my mind! Anyways, keep writing,I will definitely be lined up and waiting!

  13. Hi Jeff,
Your books are a great read. I have very much enjoyed getting to know all the characters. I am looking forward to book 8. When might we expect it? Thank you for the other 7. Cold Lake had a great ending that I was not anticipating at all, A psycho twin. I usually have my suspects but wasn't even close on this one. Great job!
    Best Regards,

    Sharon Zern

  17. I have read all except the last book in the David Wolf Series and am rereading them before I read the last one. I love them. It is close enough to Wyoming to really appeal to me. I love small town sheriff stories. I read all That I can find. I live in Shoshoni, WY a town of about 600 people and since starting out in the country around Laramie, WY; I have never lived in a larger community. I just feel at home in this type of book. I signed up to your web site. I thank you for your efforts at entertainment. I always give 5 stars to great story lines. My only criticism is that you scratch an itch not itch it. This appears in at least the first 4 books.

    1. I'm so glad you like the books, Marie, and they connect with you. I've been through Shoshoni on my motorcycle before. Thanks for reading and I hope you like the last book, too! And, YES, I've since weeded out the itch/scratch errors ... you won't find one in the last book, I swear! (Now I'm sweating.) Thanks for stopping by.

  18. Jeff, Just got through with the last David Wolf book. I thoroughly enjoyed the series and anticipate the next installment. Two weeks ago, I didn't know who you were or David Wolf. A kindle recommendation caught my eye and I got the series. Now, I put you in the same class of writers as John Davenport and Lee Childs. I really enjoyed each book and following Wolf through the crimes and solutions. I've visited the west several times over the years and the stories returned me there. Thank you for great reads and lets get the next one out.
